Technology we use
Using the latest technology not only allows us to be at the cutting edge of dentistry but is keeping with Dr. Madhuri Battula's commitment to being Eco Friendly. It allows us to eliminate a huge amount of paper for charts and insurance claims, as well as the chemicals to process x-rays.
PRIMESCAN TECHNOLOGY – REDEFINE STANDARDS AND OUTSTANDING ACCURACY TREATMENT
Our new Primescan sets new standards in dental scanning technology. For both me and my team, intraoral scanning is now more accurate, faster and easier than ever. It’s easy to handle, immediately ready to use, and integrates seamlessly into our workflow. Even my patients benefit from its superior performance, since the process is way more comfortable. Thanks to state-of-the-art technology, more data is captured in higher resolution and quickly processed, in perfect sharpness and with outstanding precision, which allows indications from single-tooth to full-arch treatments. Also, due to the enhanced connectivity, my practice is easily connected to our lab and other partners.
CARIVU TECHNOLOGY – POWERFUL NEW CARIES DETECTION DEVICE
Our new CariVu technology takes our diagnostic power to a whole new level! CariVu technology provides one of the best Caries Detection Devices currently on the market. Dental caries is the scientific name for cavities–a level of tooth decay we strive to prevent to help you protect and care for your teeth. Traditionally, x-rays have been the tool of choice for getting a look inside at the health of your teeth, but x-ray technology has its limitations. CariVu technology is a caries detection device that creates more accurate images of the teeth through bathing them in safe, near-infrared light. When this transillumination technology is used, the enamel will appear transparent on our images, whereas porous lesions (a.k.a areas of tooth decay and cavities) will absorb the light and appear dark. We can see inside the tooth to examine its structure and the presence of any dental caries—even ones just forming. CariVu technology, allows us to easily detect cavities and their exact position and size in your mouth. This new technology is more effective than x-ray imaging and will also eliminate radiation from the imaging process.
To better visualize and understand the conditions in your mouth we use small cameras about the size of a pen, called intraoral cameras, to help clearly see the condition of your teeth and gums. With this advanced technology we can zoom in on small diseased areas, cracks, chips and worn metal fillings with extreme precision. The full-color images taken with the intraoral camera are sent to a computer screen so we can clearly see and diagnose dental problems much earlier than with traditional dental technology.
Our office is becoming a completely digital (paperless) dental office. This means all x-rays and charting are made and recorded with the aid of the computer. This technology allows us to maintain your dental records electronically, and cuts down the unnecessary paperwork used with traditional paper charting. Traditional paper charting is difficult to keep standardized from doctor to hygienist to assistant. Even handwriting differences and coding make the charts look different. The computer eliminates this problem by using consistent charting methods that are accurate and precise, making it easy to read your dental chart and see up-to-date information. Digital charting standardizes the charting process so it is clear, easy to understand, and enables us to provide on the most accurate and precise care to our patients. When needed, this method also allows us to quickly and securely share information with your other health care providers. The use of digital forms also allows you to save time by completing forms online from the convenience of your home.
In our office we use digital radiography which allows us to take x-rays using significantly less radiation than conventional film x-rays. The actual amount of radiation exposure using this technique is less than the amount of radiation exposure you would get standing out in the sun for 10 minutes. Using this technology, we are able to take an x-ray of your mouth by using a small sensor which records the image of your teeth and sends it to a computer. The result is a highly detailed image of your mouth that can easily be enhanced to better diagnose dental concerns and determine the very best treatment for each case.
